Abstract

|
LBD-008, a newly developed recombinant hepatitis B vaccine, was tested for primary skin irritation in male New Zealand White rabbits. LBD-008 was applied to the back of rabbits for 24 hours. The body weight changes and clinical signs of all animals were not significantly different. Na remarkable skin irritability such as erythema, eschar and edema, was observed between intact and abraded skin with LBD-008. Primary irritation index was $quot;0$quot; in test and control sites of all animals, thus LBD-008 was evaluated as a non-irritant on the basis of the criteria of Draize score.
